Welcome to the Blackcountry Man web page.
The Blackcountry Man Boat Trips start in Stourbridge at the historic Bonded Warehouse and take in breath-taking scenery with the peace of the water ways. We can arrange personalised cruises every week for all the family…young and old.
Originally built in Netherton in 1948 as a steel carrier The Blackcountry Man was unpowered and would have been towed by tug, horse or human muscle power. She was converted in 1986 to a passenger carrying vessel and purchased in 1991 by Stourbridge Navigation trust as a trip boat.
The boat is 70 foot long and can seat up to 50 people. On-board are toilets and a full bar service is available. From April until October we do various trips with 2.5 hour cruise to Stourton Locks cruising down the beautiful Stourbridge Canal, skippered by fully qualified Boatmasters.
On Bank Holiday Mondays the boat heads out to the lovely historic village of Kinver. This is an 8 hour cruise with a 2 hour stop outside the popular Vine Inn at lunchtime.
Our very popular music nights are on most Fridays in the Summer. Tickets costing from £18 includes the 2.5 hour cruise with one of our popular Bands and a fish & chip supper on route. We also do private charter trips where the whole boat can be booked for that special occasion. Various trip durations and routes are available.
