Tidy Stourbridge volunteers operating from the Bonded Warehouse did a sterling job on Sunday 19th February: the team (Colin, Janet, Liz, Dawn, Pat, Andi, Amy, Holly, Steph, David, Geoff, Matt, Craig, Vanessa, Alison, Helen. Maris, Rachael. Kevin) shown in the photograph on the day collected 14 bags of rubbish, 2 large bags of crushed flattened tin cans, 1 mattress, fencing with a metal pole, ceramic floor tiles, carpet tiles, a potted Christmas tree, 2 parts of a Christmas tree, a large plastic drum, 1 Trolley, 1 Television, assorted cardboard tubes, 1 old football, 1 hose, 1 bucket and a metal drum from the area around the Bonded Warehouse.
Well done and a big “thank you” to those who give up their time to look after Stourbridge and importantly the community who use not only near to the Bonded Warehouse but other public places in the area. It’s a real shame that this rubbish has to be cleared up in the first place and it’s only down to the community spirit of such people that the environment can be maintained to standards we should expect in this day and age.
We are sure that Tidy Stourbridge would be only too pleased to hear from you if you wanted to “get your hands dirty” and help out on their regular clear ups.
